My name is Robert McSpadyen and I'm a fine art printmaker living and working in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. I'm a member of the renowned Glasgow Print Studio where I hand make all my print editions. I work exclusively in the screenprinting medium, the perfect technique for creating the photo-based, pop culture portraits that has become my signature.

I'm building a shrine to a deeply personal pantheon of the late 20th century's sharpest icons: silver screen goddesses, rock'n'roll's holiest gunslingers; anti-heroes from cinema's slinkiest casting agency - all abstracted into impossibly vivid Technicolor. The titles of the prints set up a pop culture feedback loop that tells you everything you need to know about the inspiration behind these glamorous, covetable images: dazzling reflections from a hall of mirrors where a superheated dialogue between rock'n'roll and cinema echoes into infinity.
